Deliverable D7.1 ‘Report on Prima Facie Size of the Market’ identified the types of actors that play a role in electronic evidence and its presence in judicial systems (especially, but not exclusively, in the criminal field) and, more generally, in the social, political, and economic life of our societies.
INTERPOL hosted a meeting of an international expert group on Electronic Evidence from 2 to 3 December 2014 at the INTERPOL General Secretariat, Lyon, France in the framework of the EVIDENCE project (European Informatics Data Exchange Framework for Courts and Evidence), funded by the European Union and coordinated by the National Research Council (CNR – Florence, Italy).
LSEC invited a group of respected speakers on a one-day event in Brussels to evaluate and discuss the different challenges imposed by major security incidents from a technical, organizational, legal and criminal investigations perspective.
The e-Justice and e-Law Conference in Rome aimed at disseminating European projects and results dealing with e-Justice, as well as discussing further developments. The event focused on the topic “Towards better pan-European judicial services” and took place from 13th to 14th October 2014.

EVIDENCE Workshop on Categorization ‘Semantic Structure of Electronic Evidence’ was organized as a two-day non-residential event and took place in Girona, Spain, on October 8-9, 2014 for the purposes of the Work Package 2 ‘Overview and Categorization of Electronic Evidence’ development and discussion of results.
